  1. In regards to mapping and all the GPS aspects of the Nuvi 1350T I have no complaints. I returned it for one reason – because it interferes with my aftermarket stereo remote control. I have a Pioneer aftermarket head unit in my car and it seems the FM receiver in the Nuvi 1350T powercord unit interferes with the stereo remote. The remote will work for a little while but eventually stops working at all. Disconnect the GPS and everything works fine. I am going to try the Nuvi 1350 (which does not come with the FM receiver). I would rather go without the traffic updates than my stereo remote.

  2. I really like this Garmin. My problem is that it comes with very few written instructions. I can’t figure out how to use the traffic feature or the blue tooth feature. But aside from that it is great.

  3. there is a glitch in the garmin program that turns the charging mechanism off.

the garmin people weren’t that helpful…2 hour waiting line on the phone. i found the answer on the internet from other people that had experinenced the same problem.

  4. The unit is easy to view , voice is clear – Having this item for a short few months I’ve tried it out here in town such as going to church which is a straight shot EAST from Residence once on the main road , with only one right turn to navigate – instead of going direct – unit wanted to go all around town before arriving at destination.A recent trip , some 4 hrs drive from here – enroute to a funeral , the unit also wanted to take all the back roads , thank goodness for the old stand by “hand held maps ” ,even put me on a one way street yeek. On returning to home , Unit wanted to go all around your thumb to get back . On a recent 500 mi trip which was mostly interstate – it performed quite well with the Exception of some alert about traffic congestion ? the unit opted to take me off the interstate and going in a different direction ? I continued on , traffic was actually sparse the further we went and only noticed a tractor sitting in the Medium – ON rtn to home the Unit UP and died DOA – on arriving home hooked up the ac/dc garmin connection to attempt a charge which was in vain. I tried to call Garmin and after 30 min on HOLD – hung up .I have e mailed Garmin twice with NO results .The unit is easy to read BUT if you followed the unit with all your Faith put in it – NO telling where or how you would end up . Hand held maps are a savior and I consider this unit to be an expensive Novelty .

  5. I started using a GPS during Desert Storm 1, in 1990-91. In the desert you needed one since there were no terrain features to navigate by. I have always had one since then. I have owed several Garmin products. I have a Rhino for hunting and backwoods exploring; one in each of my vehicles; and bought them as gifts for my kids. They are all quality GPS that you can depend on. The 1350T is in keeping with the quality that I have come to expect in a Garmin product. It is depenable, easy to use, and accurate. The 1350T is a bargain at the price, doing what far more expensive GPS do at a fraction of the cost.
