  1. For the most part, the design is good-

    Pros:

    - Lots of room for video cards and for a CPU cooler

    - Room to route and tie down cables

    - Easy drive installation

    Cons:

    - Hard drive noise is less isolated than other cases – noisy

    - USB ports are almost unusable. USB devices must be forced in and the ports deform anything that is inserted. The USB ports are not full depth so even after a device is forced in, it cannot go in all the way. Both ports are the same bad design.

    - This brings me to the last point – Coolermaster support is HORRIBLE. They do not respond to e-mail and a live chat describing the problem to tech support was no help. They just said to RMA the case.

If I had to do it again, I would have bought a different case from a different manufacturer.

  2. I’ve been building my own PC’s for 15 years. The HAF 922 case is a bit smaller then it’s big brother the HAF 932 full tower. They are the best 2 cases I’ve seen in years to build with. Lots of room in both cases. Of course the HAF 932 has even more room & allows you to configure your cooling fans a little different. Example. The HAF 932 comes with a 240mm fan in the front, Side window & on top. You can remove any of them depending on your needs. I decided to install 4 180mm blue LED tri speed fans on my side window cover. I had to remove the 240mm fan from the top & only install 1 180mm fan to make room for my 1KW PSU. 1KW= 1000 watts. The HAF 932 gives you more room to work with if your going to use very large graphics cards. Example,

I have 2 nvidia GTX 260 GPU’s in SLI mode on my Mobo. Plenty of room in this case for those & a bit more room all the away around. My HAF 922 has 2 nvidia GTS 250 GPU’s in SLI mode. Thet fit ok too. just a little less room all the way around the Mobo.

Overall, The best 2 cases I’ve ever used.

  3. The sides do not come off as easy as I would hope. For a big box that retails for as much as it does that should have been a given. It is made of good quality metal so it weighs a ton.

Some small parts were missing but I had replacements.

No filters are designed for this box so I made my own which will not be that easy to clean thoroughly as they are taped in. I highly recogmend that you make filters as it has a lot of large vententlation openings much bigger thatn the fan size, that dust is going to rush in without filters.

So as a cool running, almost too big, nice professional looking, good quality box I would say it’s great.

I am dissapointed that I have to struggle every time I have to open it and keeping it clean is a major issue.

After all, the purpose of keeping a cool box is for better running longer lasting parts, but if they get covered with dust then you lose all that. And, if it is a big hassle to open the case, you won’t be as likely to keep it clean.

  4. Best case I have ever had. Truly tool-less, and drives fit perfectly. The large fans are quiet. The cable management system is simple yet very effective.

  5. This case is perfect for a new build. I used it on my first build with the i7 ($199 at microcenter) 920, ASUS Rampage, ASUS 5850, etc etc. This case has amazing airflow with just a stock cooler, never hitting anything over 55C even playing Mass Effect 2 at max settings. Very easy to install, everything is labeled for ease of use. mATX and ATX are letter coded, all screws and hardware included. Highly recommended. Just a note, this is a monster case and very heavy. But if you are looking at this rig than you probably arent going for a small form factor PC anyway (definitly not an HTPC case). Easily 5 stars.
